Paradise Island este o insula de coral alungita, paralela cu marginea insulei Noua Providenta si care formeaza un port natural pentru Nassau. La un capat al insulei se afla portul care marcheaza intrarea in port, iar la celalalt capat se afla un teren de golf. Mai demult insula a fost teren fermier pentru Nassau si era numita Hog Island. Dupa izbucnirea imobiliara din anii 1980 insula si-a pierdut farmecul in favoarea hotelurilor inalte, caselor de vacanta luxoase si cazinourilor.
( Paradise Island is an island in the Bahamas formerly known as Hog Island. The island is located just off the shore of the city of Nassau, which is itself located on the northern edge of the island of New Providence. It is best known for the sprawling 'Vegas-by-the-sea resort' Atlantis.
Paradise Island is connected to the island of New Providence by two bridges that cross Nassau Harbour. The first was built in 1966 by Resorts International, and the second in the late 1990s.)
