If you're having trouble with the update, try slowing the transfer speed in your sysex handler to 50% and start the process over from the beginning. Half as fast, but twice as reliable!

If this helps anyone - used Windows 10 and a Roland UM-One Mk2 cable. I installed the Roland driver for the UM-One. I used Send Bome at 1x speed. DOUBLE check that you're using the Midi In side of the cable. It's kinda counter-intuitive because you think "I am sending this out from my computer" but you need to match the "Midi In" with the "Midi In" port on the Mother 32.

Doing this through my MOTU UltraLite Mk 4 and it doesn't work. -_- Don't know where to start looking for help. The Erase part seems to work, but when sending the firmware the MIDI light blinks once, then the tempo light goes yellow.

The Roland Um One Mk II worked for me on a Mac... Not all usb - midi cables transfer Sysex data but at least this 40 dollar one from Roland did the trick.

The DFAM sync got messy after the update. Seems the new default assignable output of Mother32 makes DFAM run at 16th notes at the default SEQ Clock setting, LED sequencer lights don't match the rhythm of the Mother32 sequencer lights. Have to go into M32 settings to adjust the default SEQ clock to Clock/2 and it seems to somewhat sync better. Ableton provides the main midi clock for M32. May need to contact customer support.

Not to be a choosing beggar but is there any way to change the sequencer mode via cv? It would be nice to do from an external sequencer.

Followed that steps: erase was fine but writing new firmware gives me one MIDI IN led blink, 2 red blinks of tempo LED and then that tempo led turns green and continues to blinking. nothing else is working, only LFO led is pulsating. any help with this ? Did someone got the same effect ? :(
