#IFD Tuesday Training

#IFD Firefighters from Battalion 1 and Battalion 3 A Shift took the opportunity to get in some Tuesday training after a generous property owner offered up two houses for IFD to use - prior to their being demolished.

For these firefighters, whose time on the job ranges from 1 week to 36 plus years - the importance of training and mentoring the next generation of firefighters is not taken lightly. No two runs are ever the same and practicing everyday skills such as hose layouts and roof ventilation are important. Even when you think you've done it a hundred times there is always room to learn a new technique or nugget of knowledge from another firefighter.
