About David Bowie:
David Bowie redefined musical genres and the potential of live performance for generations of music lovers. Creating and discarding a variety of personae and restlessly challenging musical boundaries, Bowie released timeless albums including Space Oddity, Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust…, Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, Station to Station, "Heroes,” Let's Dance, Heathen, The Next Day and many more. Blackstar, Bowie’s 28th and final studio album, was released on his 69th birthday, January 8, 2016. David Bowie died on January 10, 2016, two days after the release of Blackstar. His body of work, his influence on the worlds of music, art, fashion, film, theatre and beyond, and his legacy of innovation and reinvention will live forever. 2022 kicks off with Bowie at 75, a celebration of his 75th birthday with the Brilliant Adventure box set, the previously unreleased Toy, the 50th anniversary of Ziggy Stardust and a series of special events.

I love Simon Peg's quote on the day Bowie passed. "If you are sad today remember the world is 4 billion years old and you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie." I love that and it brings me peace.

Lots of people have passed in my 50 years but David Bowie is the one that still gets me. Knowing he is not here anymore does hurt. However, as they say, there is always the music. Fame is a great choice for a number one song. I am seeing Wayne in three weeks of writing this and I know it will be awesome.

I started listening to Bowie as a teen in the mid 1970's. His music was always there, all through my life. I never believed that he could actually die, but he did. I heard the news on the car radio while on my way to work. I pulled over and just sat there for a while, I was completely numb.

David was a Flaming Lips fan himself, and lamented the fact that bands like the Lips never got the US airplay they should have, even though they are from Oklahoma City. (And Dave should know. IIRC, he was seven albums in before he achieved any significant radio penetration in the US with 'Fame'.)

If I'm going to listen to anyone talk about the life and importance of David Bowie, and believe them, it would be Wayne Coyne.

one of the most enjoyable David Bowie song to me is 'Fashion' the official version with David and about four others standing side by side and with crowd interaction, I love it

I'm a little puzzled by the comments here about 'that guy'. It's WAYNE COYNE! Check out his discography. If you're a Bowie fan, you owe it to yourself.

1:20 - 1:57 ''The One's Who'll Continue''
''There are artists who'll wrest us up & place us into themselves & into their works.
These are (The One's Who'll Continue) wresting us up beyond their appointed rests in peace.
Seek out diligently (The One's Who'll Continue). But even more the Very Author of them all.''

It was acting. Good acting. He catered to the mystery of the masses.

I am talking about David. Not that guy being interviewed.
