Love the fight choreography.. but it’s hard to ignore the fact that Wu Jing was one of the villains in SPL 1 🤣

The first fight scene between Wu Jing's character and the knife guy....his character should have lead with the magazine instead of the nightstick. Good Lord he took that guy down with just a few moves once he picked up that Thai edition of Better Homes and Gardening.

I own the DVD and had watched on YouTube awhile ago. Awesome movie with Wu Jing & Tony Jaa. I didn't realize that the Warden was Max Zhang, but now that I remember and think about video, I'd noticed Max Zhang being clean shaven. I only thought his skills were awesome from the IP Man III movie and a couple after that. Now, I'll have to see what other movies he was featured in and look for them.

I feel like Tony can fit into any martial arts film style and you could tell the Fast & Furious franchise had no idea how to utilize his talents. I hope Expendables gives him a better spotlight for Western audiences to see how talented he is. Ong Bak and The Protector are still some of the best MA films to date.

Wu Jing is excellent fighter. Tony Jaa somehow grew old very quickly and was not in his prime in this movie.
What is good about this fight is that villain (Max Zhang) is able to beat 2 top level fighters.
