Ubuntu Touch (also known as Ubuntu Phone) is a mobile version of the Ubuntu operating system developed by Canonical Ltd. and the Ubuntu community. It is designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers.

Ubuntu Touch uses the Qt 5-based touch user interface and various software frameworks originally developed for Maemo and MeeGo such as oFono as telephony stack, accounts-sso for single sign-on, and Maliit for input. Using libhybris the system can often be used with Linux kernels used in Android, which makes it easily ported to most recent Android smartphones. Libertine is Ubuntu's project to run traditional desktop X applications.

The project was started in 2011, but on 5 April 2017 Mark Shuttleworth announced that the project would terminate due to lack of market interest. The project was then picked up by the UBports.

If you were able to boot linux/windows on a phone could you run small offline games such as halo ce by running it off of a sd card or something. Phones are getting powerful no doubt about it you could run cases like halo ce on low settings if you were able to run .exe files.
