Shaping Wood Monitor Stands with hand tools

I was tasked with making a couple computer monitor stands recently. They were needed to raise the height and make the screens level with each other and also match the color of the desk. One was quite a bit shorter than the other one. I could have just used the machined to flatten and cut the wood, but I thought I would try it again with hand tools. It definitely took a little longer, but it was good practice, and I seem to learn more each time. I also spent some time sharpening blades and setting up planes in order to get a good cut. I thought about adding some carving but in the end decided to just make a nice, profiled design that looks like feet with the bottom scooped out. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more videos.
