Corner Cutting Cabby Gets Sent an S172 - £100 Fine & Six Points? - Green Badge 64022 - LJ22 ZBR

I've had a number of close passes at this junction, all of which I reported online to the Met Police and all the registered keepers were sent a Section 172, Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIP).

The Police used to send updates on reports and for those that I received all of them were either issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) or went to Court. An FPN for an offence like this is a £100 fine and three points on your driving licence.

Interestingly all the drivers were either taxi or minicab drivers.

I can understand the cabbies frustration. I mean that road is so narrow once around that corner that he would need to swing around you to pass you on that road 😂😂😂

Oh stop it. He was nowhere near you. I’ve seen more traffic infringements by cyclists than I ever have from cars. A cyclist hit my car once and cycled off. What chance did I have to track them down? None.

Pointless pass since he then slammed on the brakes a moment later - spacial awareness clearly lacking in many drivers or they think they're in F1 and going for the apex - at least the MET actually tell you the outcome, not just "positive action will be taken, blah, blah" as Cambs (sub-contracted to Herts) do

Remember, it's cyclists that are the biggest danger on our roads and not motorists. Or so I'm heard.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Bikey boy wetting his panties as a car dared to come nowhere near him. Plenty of space. Far more than bikes give peds when they are cutting around them on zebra crossings, or bikes give to cars when squeezing past them to get to the front of queue.

If only bikes had registration plates. Plod would be swamped with reports of dangerous bikeys.
