1ο Φεστιβάλ Λατρευτικής Μουσικής - 3η Μέρα | 1st Sacred Music Festival -3rd Day

Η τρίτη μέρα του 1ου Φεστιβάλ Λατρευτικής Μουσικής –σε συνδιοργάνωση ΥΠΠΟΑ, ΕΛΣ, Eurolife FFH– έφερε χιλιάδες θεατές στους δρόμους του ιστορικού κέντρου της Αθήνας, οι οποίοι παρακολούθησαν 24 συναυλίες σε 14 τοπόσημα της Πλάκας.
Παραδοσιακή, μεσαιωνική, βυζαντινή μουσική, 20ός αιώνας, Χατζιδάκις, Θεοδωράκης, πιανιστικά έργα, χορωδιακά, θρήνοι συνέθεσαν το μουσικό πανόραμα της τελευταίας ημέρας του Φεστιβάλ, σε καλλιτεχνική διεύθυνση Γιώργου Κουμεντάκη.
Πάνω από 3.000 θεατές στο Μουσείο Ακρόπολης παρακολούθησαν τον «Επιτάφιο», ενώ στην κατάμεστη Μητρόπολη έδωσε συναυλία το ΜεĨΖοΝ Ensemble, λίγο πριν ξεκινήσει η Μπάντα του Ναυτικού τη δική της μουσική περιφορά σε Πλάκα και Μοναστηράκι.

Day three of the First Sacred Music Festival –co-organised by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Greek National Opera, and Eurolife FFH– brought thousands of people out onto the streets of Athens’ historic city centre to enjoy 24 concerts given at 14 landmarks in the Plaka area.
Traditional, medieval, and Byzantine music, 20th-century works, pieces by Manos Hadjidakis and Mikis Theodorakis, works for piano, chorales, and lamentations comprised the musical panorama that was the final day of the Festival, under the artistic direction of Giorgos Koumendakis.
An audience of more than 3,000 were at the performance of “Epitaph” outside the Acropolis Museum, while the ΜεĨΖοΝ Ensemble gave a concert inside the packed Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens, a little before the Hellenic Naval Band set off to parade and play around Plaka and Monastiraki.
