I just tested this right now and discovered somethign interesting, for anyone in this kind of situation.
When Izanami's shield of dreams is up while casting Moment of benevolence (time stop), even if the barrier gauge goes down to 0, the shield will remain up until time stops. That means that no matter how hard you hit or if her barrier depletes, she is invincible to anything that is not a grab.
Yes, her barrier is useless against grab so that's how you counter her barrier. Don't hit her, just block and wait for an opportunity to grab.
