"you should start dating first" - my dad said when he met my mom, he went home and told his mother he was going to marry my mom. He proposed and my mom said "no, don't ask me again." So he didn't. He set everything up and told her when and where they were getting married. Worked. They were married for almost 50 years until he died in 2014.

I went to a leadership conference at Disney over last summer. The mashed potatoes moment is the type of situation they love setting up. When Disney was giving us their “hospitality” tour they told us so many stories of little things they caught when just talking to people over the phone to set up their stay. The little items they do add to their room or the little things they would do to make a family’s first vacation memorable is pretty awesome.

Not gonna lie. The most magical and "Disney" thing to me was the mashed potatoes. Honestly, when I saw that, I realized just how great the people at Disney are at what they do and I'm glad Alyce got that addition of happiness since the cutting of the cake is considered such a special part of an already special day, it's one of those things that seem so obvious, yet can be hard to think of lol.
