My takeaway from this video and the expansion at Bissell, is that maple farmers should only build clear-span buildings, with no load-bearing walls. 😂 Cool video Nate!👍

I love all your tours so much! There’s only a couple of private Bigleaf sugar house here in the PNW, so it’s nice seeing veteran makers.
Bens place is an absolute dream. The store and operation is so well thought out and aesthetically pleasing. The only change I’d make is windows in the office area. That’s a non negotiable for me. Cubicles without natural light is the opposite of being out in the woods.
I look forward to your future tours as I’m dreaming up the build on my sugar house and setup in Oregon for next winter. Hopefully I can catch a live one of these days.
