Wow! Just did my first oil change after installing this plug several months ago. (I always keep my vehicles a long time so I decided to bite the bullet and buy one.) What a difference! On my 2018 F150, there is a large steel rod installed right in the flow path of the draining oil. This has caused a big mess using the original drain plug. Yesterday, using my new Ronin plug, I could drain the oil at half speed and avoid the splashing mess. Ford gave us the problem…Ronin gave us the solution.

I just did my first oil change at home at 27k miles. (Ford pass points ran out) I knew as soon as I did it myself Ronin would be the drain plug I chose. Wow I was so glad I chose this one! The magnet is a no brainer, and install is so easy that I actually gained anxiety due to feeling like I was missing something 🤣 I DEFINITELY recommend this plug if you own a 2019+ coyote f150 or mustang gt.

I like this. My only problem is that I don't keep vehicles more that 2-3 oil changes/years. That is the only thing holding me back. I will probably buy one anyway for my 2019 F-150.

Why in the world wouldn’t Ford have come up with this if they were going to totally change the design from a standard metal pan and plug? The new plug is a POS and messier than a typical plug. Would’ve been happy to pay $80 upfront for the Ronin plug if given the option just to save future oil change headaches.

If it wasn't for Ford's screw up on a oil drain plug, you guys could possibly not offer your "upgrade" drain plug. Just like everything else on Ford, they come up with special spark plugs that break so much because they cannot be removed in one piece they have to come up with a special tool(how sad, a special tool for a flawed design) to extract the remains. Ford engineers put their heads to how they can creat a problem that never existed before in this case the Plastic drain plug. Pretty soon you guys will offer forged connecting rods because factory ford introduced ABS plastic connecting rods (what a business opportunity) so thats "upgrade" as well. What sorry half ass aluminium beer can built truck. They need to update their commercial where they drop the heavy steel plate that says "Ford Built Tough" and exchange it to that of plastic or maybe a aluminium can will suite it better. Buy American they say...pff😒 thats why TOYOTA takes advantage and has brutal prices on their trucks just because your paying for the common sense that goes into their design.
