Ward is better than McCarthy. What the hell is this guy smoking?

Same clowns that said Lamar should play WR

Are you nuts how could JJ McCarthy be the first pick in the draft. That kid played in more than one game where he didn’t complete a pass in the entire second half of the game, my friend that is not a NFL qb. Ridiculous

The hate for Cam and shedeur is unreal. What has JJ shown coming back from injury. Missed a whole season yet he is qb 1 in this class

McCarthy being first pick in this draft comparing the college tape would not be a football decision, to put it politely. Michigan took the ball out of his hands for a half of football in one of their biggest games in his last year.

I think trait based scouting at the QB position is why you have so many misses in early rounds. You need people who can just play the position and who have the mentality needed to lead a team. I don't really follow the college game, but this guy just convinced me that Shedeur should be picked up early, because he listed the traits I'd value.

When i ask for JJ fans to point out any metric that could show he is better than Shaduer or Cam, they point to Scouts' opinions. If anyone on here can reasonably explain why JJ is better, I would like to hear it.

Shedure is gonna prove so many people wrong I can’t wait

This continues to prove the ignorance in scouting. So before if you were too athletic you shouldn't play QB now it's he's not that athletic. And WTH does JJ McCarthy have to do with this? He's not a #1

One think we should know as well is that Shedeur had no Oline at all. Do we really think if he played behind Ohio, Georgia, Oregan, Texas, Penn Oline he wouldn't be a good quarterback?

I view their opinions through the lens of their "expert" analysis on Lamar Jackson. Oh, by the way Shedeur is 6'2. Prototypical qb size. Elway was 6'3. Sam Darnold 6'3. Baker Mayfield - 5'10 drafted first in the same draft as Lamar Jackson. A draft where idiots like this guy said Jackson should just switch positions altogether. I like getting my sports from pods but when the mainstream idiots get sports pods, this is the crap that happens.

Shadeur like any other young QB in the NFL needs good coaching and a great play calling around him.

Fans expect too much out of first year QBs to be superman on every snap.

OMG! Shedeur Sanders is 6'2 215 lbs! The same height as Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Brett Favre and Joe Montana. So how does Shedeur NOT have "size"?" He is a top 5 college qb who had a very poor offensive line and still threw for over 4 thousand yards with a 74% qb rating. I swear the media really hates Deion Sanders. SMH. 🙄

To me Shedeur has the best floor in the class. I will say it like this, he is good enough to stabilize a team. He protects the ball, makes great decision and, is at his best when he is methodical. He might not have a ceiling that wows some people but, he is very good. His floor to me is Teddy Bridgewater/ Andy Dalton his mid is Tua Tagovailoa/ Geno Smith and, his floor is Matt Ryan

If you think JJ Mcarthy is better than Shedur Sanders you have no business getting paid to talk sports

Every year they start down playing the Black QB the hate is real

Lets not forget. Cam ward was not a 1st round pick last year. Shedeur was

If Sheduer was not Deion’s son he would be consensus number one in the draft

It's not that nobody wants SS02. They may not want him as a top 10 or a 1st round pick. We're talking about the best of the best. Good QBs slip in the draft every year. Some prove everybody wrong, and some don't. It's a tough business, and nobody owes SS02 anything. He's accurate and he can make all the throws. He also holds the ball too long, he's not a very good runner, and teams have to figure out if he's coachable. He's never played for anybody other than his dad, and he made a lot of bonehead plays last year. It's up to SS02 to prove himself. He'll get his chance to do that.

He's a QB prospect whose greatest projected strength is playing/ thinking like a QB.

I'd hope so
