I Flipped a Midcentury modern Record Player console that I got for Free off of Facebook Marketplace. I painted this console table Matte Black to give it a modern look.This Furniture Makeover was a very interesting and fun project. The record player didn't work that well so I left it as is. I ended up flipping this furniture for a $400 profit.

i have watched loads of these console refurbishments and in just about all of them no one seem st bother about painting the inside so when you open the thing it sticks out like a sore thumb

I kie the paint job. The unit still has enough character even without the natural wood grain showing. What I want to know though is if the thing still works?
My sister and I both have one simular to this that I want to fix up. But I want to make the radio and record player functional again. Is this even possible or is it better to gut it and put in new electronics and speakers?

Nope! I would not have painted it. A beautiful refinish would have been better or even a slight conversion of the old style grills

Music's not necessary. And clearly you're not very good at videotaping so save people's lives and delete this one
