This video showed me how to get a unit rate (I know how to get it already) but the video show so how you have to have a common factor in the numerator and denominator also that you have to divided the top and bottom . The fraction form of a ratio represents a division problem such as 6/w as shown is the video you divide by the common factor andfind the unit rate

This video shows how to get a unit rate using a common factor between the numerator and denominator and by dividing the the fraction or rate in fraction form by the common factor you will get your unit rate. For example, if we have 12 candies to 4 bags the rate is 12 : 4 which equals 12/4. To get the unit rate you find a common factor. Since 12 divided by 4 is 3 and 4 divided by 4 is 1 the common factor would be 4. So, the unit rate would be 3/1 or 3 : 1.

For example if you wanted to divide a bigger number like 200 divided by 2 you can eliminate one zero in this case and then divide. In this case the answer will be 10. Then after you get your answer you add the eliminated zero back to the answer 10 in this case. So in this case the answer is 10. After you add the zero at the end, you will get an answer of 100. So 200 divided by 2 equals 100

This video teaches me how to divide much bigger numbers easier with simplifying the division sentence. It also teaches me a easier way to divide easier numbers in different ways. After watching this whole video I find now that it is much easier to divide bigger numbers by simplifying the numbers and dividing smaller numbers by putting the division sentence in fraction form.
