Argia - Lost Skin (Original Mix)

New Tab proudly presents catalog 004, 'Lost Skin EP' by Spanish producer Argia, a tight package of two wonderful original tracks accompanied by a wistful Ruede Hagelstein remix. Although Argia is a relatively new name to the scene, the force behind is a classically-trained, meticulous artist with a long list of accolades to her name and a very strong fan base.

Argia's delicate musicality and razor-sharp technique show strongly in the title track 'Lost Skin'. A disciplined, introspective groove welcomes you into the arms of her own voice, enthralling you, while sweet plucks answer distant rumbles of bass on the horizon. Questions are raised, the mind wanders, but soon all is forgotten as a promethean lead arrives and the body is commanded back into a primal dance.

'Firmamento' comes next, from the start a clear proposal for movement, a journey in the sky with organic percussion in the cockpit, while glide-heavy synth leads maintain a steady hand on the yoke. Free-running oscillators, sustained bass and fluffy pads provide the perfect backdrop for this enchanting passage.

Rounding out the package is a Ruede Hagelstein remix of 'Lost Skin'. A muted, highly controlled groove extracts the most power from Argia's vocals, patiently building a methodical exposition, brick by brick raising an emotional story that slowly unfolds, yet richly rewards.
