I'm a comic book freak and went to see the movie half and half but came out grinning like a complete loon, Gal Gadot Is Wonder Woman and the fight scenes are insane and so well shot.

Gadot said that identifying as a "geek" is "the shit, " and it is. It's totally trendy. The thing is that being a geek and being nerd two different things (sometimes combining a Ven diagram hybrid that some Geek Bomb contributor deemed "neek."), and as the trend climbs, there's a wider spectrum for both identities. From one who now wears popular superhero t-shirts publicly to those who can quote lines from Iron Giant. Or between those identify as "news" to include themselves among a particular intellectual category, to those who may.... for example, regularly read, digest, and utilize the material reported in medical journals.

I think that I fit firmly in the "neek" category. I'm a freelance illustrator who's been working on graphic novel stories, writing blog posts about comics, animation, and music, and hobbying around with both Pinterest boards and BanDai Gundam models. The bulk of my day is spent training to build a more sustainable to career in the medical community, taking what I've learned from Crichton's "Five Patients" (a non-fiction book about the history of medical science, hospitals, and medical schools), and combining tat with what I learn about the occupational skills, codes, and every reading material I can find in my departments. Right now, I'm an intern in a busy Boston hospital in the renal, rheumatology, and pulmonary departments. As me, the researchers, the MD's, NP's, nurses, etc. talk shop from time to time, I sometimes even get mistaken for an MD (sometimes a linguist), and their compliment is accepted. It's about helping people and using my nerdiness and articulation to help patients and the medical institutions.
