I’ve seen these houses ignite with astonishing speed. It’s breathtaking how quickly they wholesale incinerate, and it tells me as a scientist that we’ve made a serious mistake in some kind of material selection for these homes. 😮

@H33t3Speaks - In the 20-odd years (until about 9 years ago) that I lived blocks away from those houses, wildfires had never come "over the hill" (from Hollywood) into those canyons. Not that you're wrong - those houses aren't built for a wildfire area. For the past 100-plus years, Franklin Canyon simply was not a wildfire area.

Newsom didn’t clear the brush when he should have. The mayor of LA cut $18M in fire department budget and is currently hanging out in Africa. And the DEI fire chief of LA is focused on hiring more women for the fire department to level the playing field vs men. Things are fine, until they’re not.

Of course, as humans, we feel very sorry for the American people. The loss of life and property is very sad.
But I'm sure millions of people on Earth have never been sad.
There are many people who think that God inflicts such disasters as punishment for the imperialist oppression inflicted by the United States on millions of people around the world.
Additionally, it should be investigated whether terrorism has an impact on such large-scale disasters.
