I purchased one of these while on my honeymoon back in the late ‘90’s and had it shipped from CA back to Boston. Definitely the best version of the DX7, I loved the sound possibilities, but unfortunately it developed an intermittent power issue due to a cracked circuit board so I eventually let it go. Probably would never buy another, but it was quite fun and inspirational while it lasted.

Wonderful and classic sound, i own both mk1 and mk2 dx7s each one for specific sounds. It deserves every cent that worths today and of course even more sound wise.

Very good synthesizer. Other non-subtractive synthesizers to consider are Casio VZ-1 and Kawai K5.

Ok it say's demo, but all those sounds only use the single voice mode . The DX 7 Mk ll is capable of split & layered sounds kind of fattens things up a bit . ( still have my Mk ll w/ Grey matter E ! )

Suggestion:  Try it through a tube pre-amp (p:ex  cheap Art tube). Then the DX looses that "clean" sound.

If you don't know that this sequencer can play back many instruments back at the same time, they can't tell you. They don't know. It might as well be an Eminee Organ. Great keyboard player.

I bought Altria keylab essentials have virtual version of dx7. I'm newer than new. I want to play 80s and just wondering is there a resource to get sound for each song?

One of the best looking synthesizers, too. Together with the D-50, VZ-1, and K5. Most things that came after those were disappointments in aesthetics department.
