In today's video I show you how to remove a Volkswagen re-circulation motor. This is a common VW problem, and when these motors fail they make loud and annoying noises, and allow your car to suck exhaust into the cabin. These recirculation motors fail in the Golf, Jetta, Rabbit, GTI, Passat and R32 and become noisy. This problem is particularly apparent on the MK5 generation, including 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010.

So I tried following along but I have been trying to install the motor on the three pegs for 2 hours and I can't get it on. Are there any tips because I am getting very frustrated.

I've been looking for this answer for a while now. You just saved me from sweating my ass off in this brutal 2024 widewest heat wave. 🙏🏻 Thank you!

I suspect mine could be broken. It does not make any strange noise but the windows are fogging inside the car even though the air-condition seem to work. If the flap is in the wrong position wouldn't that potentially allow air to recirculate and thereby make the windows fog?

Great video, when recirculation is turned on is the door open (can see blower fan from front) or closed?

I have a 2006 Volkswagen rabbit. Is there a fuse for the recirculating motor? If there is, which fuse is it?

Hello, will this be the actuator for which direction the air flows? I have a 2015 VW Passat Wolfsburg Edition. I recently change the temperature actuator on the driver's side and now I get cold air but it doesn't matter which direction I turn the dial...I only get air from both side vents and defrost. I do NOT get it through middle and floor vents. Please help!

***WELL DONE, dude***
Thanks for the link as well - only $13 to buy and looks about 20-30 min of labor. Priceless for the annoyance that this thing gave.

Is this likely what’s wrong if the fan is blowing hard, but no air out of the vents? How do you differentiate this from a blend vent failure?

Had the same issue on my VW Rabbit 2006. This video helped me to do what I need to do. Thanks Cash!

Mate, I have a Golf 6 and the vents are working fine (no noise) just not blowing air on the windshield. Is the same motor like on the video or is something else?!
Thanks in
