I started my military career in Stanley Barracks, like so many others, in 1967. Visited the museum every Sunday on the way back from church. It has grown hugely since that time. Living in Australia precludes attending Tankfest, so thank you all for making this magnificent event available via on youtube/Patreon.

If your museum didn’t exist, my entire life would be a lie. Your place is the only time I’ve every felt happy. EDIT: 9:23 my man said my last 2 names

Dont ever underestimate Joe Hewes and his team they have done outstanding work restoring tanks and old vehicles so when you watch their channel just sit back and enjoy the way they work (not fit for kids 🤣)👍👍👍👍👍

The organisation and hard work that goes on behind the scenes at Tankfest is outstanding. I've participated in a lot of military shows, and this is head and shoulders above the rest, in terms of quality, dedication, and most importantly safety (for the public) Was a thrill to drive my tank (AMX13 105) around the ring (if not a bit nerve-racking).

I'd like to see the museum farming out more work, like FV4005, given out to other restorers, with youtube channels, like Mr Hewes.
Try and get as many tanks in to restored running order in a quicker time.
I remember going there as a kid and you had so many No4 WW1 tanks that they were outside being used a climing frames by kids.
A lot of museums would love such an early tank and would give up something bovington doesn't have in order to get something from so early in tank history.

I started my army career with Junior Leaders Regt way back in 1966. As this was immediately across the road from the museum, I visited it as often as I could. I don't recall anything like the Tankfest back then, more's the pity. Brilliant display.

I can only imagine Tiger 131 'Ghosty' is a bit fed up? So many childhood memories of visiting the Tank Museum in all it's years developing from a large hanger consisting of a few collections (don't climb on the vehi😒😒😊😊cles! ) to the amazing museum which it has become. Dorset's heritage & proud to know you.

Great coverage of the event. Almost as good as being there bar not being able to get up close and personal with the tanks.
