I remember when the Ovation came out in the 70s it was like "Plastic?" But when you played it, the action was so smooth and effortless. My first acoustic was a fake Ovation - the Applaud or something like that. LOL.

My favorites are the ones with what i call the "upper sound holes". Elite I think. For no special reasons. I just love them! I'm not a guitarist so I can't comment on how they "feel" but I sure like the sound!

I have my Ovation since 2000, i find it absolutely brilliant, it's a balladeer special shallow bowl, the moment i played it I knew it was right for me, you just know, 🎵🎶🎼🎵🎶

My first guitar was an Ovation from I believe 1973 (had a rounded, textured back with an electric plugin) that my dad gave to me when I started getting interested in guitar. I remember bringing it to my first guitar lesson and my teacher asked if I was interested in selling it...I was just like uhhh, no it's my only guitar. That was when I realized my guitar was something special. I gave it back to my dad when I went off to university and sadly, he sold it to a co-worker for probably way less than it was worth. It was always his guitar to give and sell, but I was still really bummed that he sold it...

Glad to see Ovation is still going strong, and hopefully I'll get my own someday!
