Japanese animation : Ballroom e Youkoso, brought me here!!! I had no idea that this kind of competition is exist before I watch the animation. Makes me really want to try the dance, especially the standard. Though I never have any dancing experience yet.

Boy, this dancing has really changed. The men have a more visible part, not just the leads anymore. The fashion for the guys had also changed. The greasy kid's stuff in the hair is different too. I really admire the athleticism of these dancers.

I lived in NYC as a young man. The night life was incredible. After hour clubs were where the real dancing was.
I left NYC, and went in the Army. Loved Pannama and when back in the States. An instructor asked me to dance at a club. Next thing I knew. I went through Bronze, silver and, gold. Became an instructor myself. Never went Pro/Pro comp but did Pro-Am. 35 yrs ago. Nothing like stepping out. Pure happiness!

Love watching ballroom dancing and ice dancing. My favorites here were always the Italians and liked their costumes the best too. One of my go-to movies is 'Strictly Ballroom' and I like their Paso Doble much better than any of these. They are all winners though and is wonderful to watch it all.
