Why Sinusoidal AC used in Electrical System? Why not square AC or Triangular AC?

In this video, iam explaining about, why sinusoidal AC used in electrical system? Why dont we use any other periodic signals like square, sawtooth, triangular etc.

Your example ar 1:27 is incorrect. When you add up these waves they will cancel eachother out resulting in a flat line instead of the complicated waveform you depict. Also you fail to show that the amplitude changes when adding up waveforms. Therefor in none of your examples the output remains unchanged. In all cases you get complex waveforms (even with the sine). The reason we use sine for electricity is because we use rotating coils to generate the wave. It’s the rotation causing the sine, the waveform is not by choice, but a result of how it is generated. The added bonus is that when adding two phase shifted waves, you get a wave with a modified amplitude but a similar shape.

Btw, have you ever looked into how synthesizers work and how different waveforms give different sounds by feeding them through electrical components?

I appreciate your work but your conclusions in this video are wrong. Simple answer would be Tesla. :)
More detailed.. With sinusoidal AC power system we can:
- build large three phase generators
- build all kind of motors
- transform voltage and current so we can transfer power to distant places
- build simply switching devices (when current crosses zero it distinguish by it self)
- etc.
Many other things are cons but this ones prevails.
