I actually met Jesse Eisenberg a week ago. I asked him for his autograph and after giving it to me, he said "No one ever asks".

Kieran Culkin is a AMAZING actor. He was spectacular in Succession.

After seeing him in succession i really believe kieran culkin is one of the best actors working today. Excited to see him get more film roles. I think an oscar is in his future eventually

Here for Roman Roy. Also, this being Searchlight helps its awards chances.

I have to say, this movie caused me to look at Kieran Culkin in a new way as an actor. I haven’t seen SUCCESSION (though I’ve heard he’s great in it), and I mostly knew him as the roommate from Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. He absolutely steals the show in this movie though. Eisenberg does a great job in his own right, on both sides of the camera, but Culkin is the one who walks away with this whole movie. Hopefully he gets remembered come awards season next year.

I was lucky enough to get a screener for this through virtual Sundance (it was an award-winner screening since the initial slots sold out). This movie ended up in my Top 4 I saw, along with THELMA, KNEECAP, and Exhibiting Forgiveness. It reminded me a bit of Wes Anderson’s The Darjeeling Limited (although I’ve also heard the Elijah Wood film Everything is Illuminated), but it does enough to stand out on its own. VERY much worth checking out.

Kieran Culkin is so good at playing characters who are truly emotionally unpredictable. He was in the play “This is our Youth” and was AMAZING

I loved the relationship between the two cousins. We all have someone we’ll always follow or have them follow us.

Was so happy I ended up grabbing a ticket for this after it won the Screenwriting award. Definitely my favorite of those I saw, Dìdi and In the Summers. Hoping Kieran somehow sneaks into the awards conversation next year, because he definitely deserves it!

Looooved this film. Would really love in a perfect world for it to get Lead Actor, Supporting Actor, and Screenplay noms. Supporting Actor I think could be a real shot depending on how competitive the field becomes over the course of the year.

I'm predicting A Real Pain to get Picture, Supporting Actor (Culkin), Original Screenplay, and Cinematography for 2025. I have it in because A Complete Unknown hasn't started filming yet so this is most likely Searchlight Pictures best film of 2024. As someone who has seen the movie, is Culkin leading or supporting? What are your thoughts on the other nominations i'm predicting?

Currently watching this movie... So far this movie has "midnight in paris" vibes, the yellow filter, classic music background, lot of dialogues

So Culkin sounds very Romanesque here. That's all I needed to hear.

I think in the end he is still in his real pain from his looks 😟😭

Cat. It was the first movie that sold out fast online at Sundance.

The film has just opened here in Sydney. Loved it, but how the heck is Culkin in the supporting category? He’s a lead, in at least 90% of the film. Definitely deserves an Oscar but it’s unfair on genuine supporting actors that he’s put in this category.
