Can you redo this vid, to make for a different second one?—substituting the calls and songs of each bird instead of human music??? I’m trying to identify a call heard in Ponte Vedra area, but bird unseen. Thanks!

Hi. If you or one of your viewers can assist me; I've been checking online to identify a bird I see whenever I go to the Fisherman's Village in Punta Gorda at the outdoor dining section of the Brewhouse. It is such a comical bird, I sincerely sit there enjoying my drink and meal while watching these guys walk around or simply sitting on a railing watching the diners. It's the approximate size of a grackle, is a solid brown (I would even suggest a chocolate brown) and its young is flecked with more colors and has plumage not as smooth as the adults. After a table of diners got up to leave, the adult swooped down followed by the juvenile (the same size as the adult) and was fed by the solid brown adult.

It doesn't have any standout features like many other birds in Florida but its movement and the way it stares at diners the same way our beagle stares at the cat's bowl while its dining awaiting the right moment to swoop down on the food makes this bird my absolute favorite in Florida. My second favorite, and it's close, is the black capped night heron that so makes me think Florida has its own species of penguin.

The birds in Florida are so varied and beautiful. A part of me misses the call of the chickadee from my old home in NJ (we actually fed them by hand when we were younger) but Florida is a wonderland for birdwatching. Thankfully, we live by a lake with a rookery so every evening during our dog walk, we see the birds descending onto the trees so the foliage is speckled with white and black.

Thank you.
