The online only modes are going to kill this game. There will be days soon when accomplishments or boss battles will be unplayable due to a lack of players. When a new game appears, it needs more solo focus with missions that are doable with either solo scaling or multiplayer scaling. I hear there is a cpu that can fill the spots if no one is playing, so that may fix some issues. Hopefully, the story mode is more expansive and not short just to fill the roster for online. We will see...

MY biggest worry is that the characters do not learn any skills at all. I didn't see anything in the trailer (menus) where you can switch character skills. So in a way your character is the final build from start to finish. Equipments grant what? mostly passive and stats. And costume since there is only 1 slot means, it replaces at most 1 skill/ultimate? Damn the game looked really good until I tried the beta and now I think this game is not it unless I'm proven wrong by someone.

oooh, i like the sound of free roam. I also find myself somewhat curious of the story (even with my dislike for mainline SAO).
While i think it's all but confirmed, i'm holding off buying until i see my girl Pitohui.

Dang they really made it clear. "Online Only Modes", those are the exact Modes I was hoping I can play Offline with CPUs. It was already sold for me when it was first announced but automatically turned me away after seeing Online only. The gameplay is already good, but 90% of the entire game is locked online and that's the issue.

Still, glad that it's actually good. Not hating because I actually already love the game, but it's because the game's good but most of it is locked Online.

I would've loved to just coop through the whole game with my gf since she loves SAO, but if the story is singleplayer only and coop stuff is just limited to certain quests and 4 players are required I don't think it's that interesting.
