I remember this bad boy from early 80’s. My friend Troy had one. The Sharp “ghettoblaster” I think it was called…lol. It was a monster w/ four 6.5” woofers. The outer ones were full-range speakers that delivered a full range sound; the inner ones were tuned for bass and mid-bass only. 2 tweeters above the outer woofers. The sound was very loud but not hi-fi though. I really don’t remember how many D batteries it took though…10? 12? But I do remember cheeping in some cash at the bodega store for them.

PS: my friend only played metal tapes for a better sound (NEC).
