Thank you for the video! Helped me to replace that charge port for much less than any of the local shops were asking. Yours must have been disassembled already though, I had a lot more glue under the charge port, but was able to get it out. Thanks again!!!

This makes me miss my V20. All you had to do was pop off the back and swap the battery - took about 30 seconds. I like my V40, but dealing with all of this just to replace its battery is not progress. Thanks for producing this video - at least I now have a guide when I need a new battery.

Thanks for the video man. I watched this because I was curious what it would take to replace a front screen / glass.. All of the screen protectors I bought and tried kept causing touch sensitivity issues so I said screw it.. I know at some point the glass will be scratched up good. Nicest phone I've ever owned.

Thank you for this video.I used to teardown my LG v20 for some overwarm reason and after a time I found I could not record any voice without big current noise through video or audio. So now I get a V40 and I dare not to do the same thing on this one. When you handle this I am so nervous.

Was hoping to learn if the battery is held with destructive adhesive like the G8 or is easy to pry up like the V30. I didn't find that out.

Error at 4mins - you dont need to peel back this connector - you can just unclip it at the back of the system board to remove it. :-(

Very good tutorial 👍
That machined cut midframe looks cool...does every flagship phone has metal midframe?

Thanks for making this video, i would like to mod my v40 later on with a proper thermal paste. Hopefully would be good for gaming since snap 845 is more than enough to play game like pubg on 60fps...

Thank you, i heard many of this phone refurbished and the heat pipe is removed from the phone, that causing frame drop at gaming and lower the antutu score. I hope i can check if the heat pipe is installed or not without open the casing.

Just wanted to see how glued the battery is. And how to remove it....

Say what now? Why didn't you remove the battery? I watched this video to find out if it had pull tabs or not so I could guage how difficult the MOST COMMON THING PEOPLE WILL BE REMOVING IN THIS PHONE would be to remove. Bummer.

can you remove the battery without removing the main board. My Charging port broke so I'm looking to replace that but might as well replace the battery as well

this looks better easier then popping off the screen to get to the battery like my pixel 2.... screens break way too easy
