The Conjuring Universe Kinda Sucks

The Conjuring movies are great (the first 2) but outside of those, The Conjuring Universe has been a miss for me. The Annabelle Trilogy and The Nun films are just so bland and generic. I talk about these in my full spinoff podcast episode.

I'm one of the people that really liked Annabelle Creation, but the other films leave me fairly cold or indifferent, even the first Conjuring. Yet I've seen most of them!

The first 2 conjuring movies are the only ones worth watching, but I actually kinda liked the lighthearted Goosebumps vibes of Annabelle Comes Home. Just a fun movie to watch at home with your friends.

I never liked the Conjuring, I didn't find it scary at all. The first movie had good ideas where the Warner's had a room of demonic objects. Too bad the writing isn't bringing these collections to life in an interesting way. I did enjoy Annabelle Creation, as the writing is probably the best in the franchise. The director David Sandberg in my opinion is good at using subtle effects to engross the audience. Such as darkened corners and hallways. Usually what you can't see is the scariest. I did enjoy James Wan's Malignant. That movie was a total freak show...I loved it.

Totally agree! It’s such a boring milked Universe and although I do enjoy the first two, I don’t love them…
