Which election pick upset you the most? 😬

Imagine having a hard time picking a candidate because they’re both good instead of them both being awful that must be nice.

You're not fooling anyone, Mr. Beat, we know that secretly you're immortal and you've voted in every election.

Walter Mondale passed away today unfortunately. In the stream Mr. Beat talked about how Mondale was still alive, but that was only true for a few more hours. RIP :(

One of the many things I appreciate about Mr. Beat is that he doesn't just copypaste the same couple of reaction faces for his thumbnails. Even if they come out super awkward and weird like this one, it just makes him seem more authentic. Love it

I like imagining Mr.Beat as a 250 year old immortal that was around for all of these elections.

Funny fact: Calvin Coolidge talked so little, he got the nickname Silent Cal. At one point, someone made a bet that he could get Silent Cal to say at least 3 words by the end of a meeting. Silent Cal headers about this and only at the end of the meeting did he finally say to the man, “You lose!” Everyone burst out laughing.

Fun Fact: In the election of 1920, Eugene Debs, an openly socialist third party candidate, ran most of his presidential campaign from a jail cell and got over 3% of the popular vote. For reference, Jo Jorgensen only managed to get about 1% of the popular vote in the 2020 election. Why was Debs in jail? Because he dared to speak out against the WW1 draft.

I really like how all of your picks were very well reasoned and based on policy instead of emotion.

That’s 3 and a half hours not wasted. What a fun stream! I’m looking for more of these in the future.

Very surreal thing just happened, I was at 1984 and I went to Wikipedia to see if Walter Mondale was still around and that’s how I found how he literally died TODAY

I'm so glad that you are a US Historian. I've been studying the Presidents ever since I was in the 2nd Grade (1968-68). I discovered your YouTube work over a year ago. I also was a Public Librarian from 1981-2011... Keep up the GREAT WORK. We have so much in common...

I watched the whole stream! Also thanks for voting for me in the hypothetical scenario! I was surprised at the amount of support I had in the chat lol
