Man with global reputation as an habitual liar stands up in front of international audience and says “my country is not remotely corrupt”…This feels like peak Johnson – everything that follows will be a gradual, inexorable slide towards the Exit door.

I've lived through the Zuma years. There are similarities with Johnson. Many wives, many children, attack the media, go for the judiciary, be very charming, and make sure you and your cronies get soft contracts and rich.

The problem really is that the people James is referring to as "letting them get away with it" are only 'soft' Tory voters as they have the deciding vote in this. For anybody who didn't vote Tory, we have no say or input in 'letting them get away with it'.

Or a surgeon, my sister 48years a nurse having a hernia pushing up into her chest causing pain was having to wait, wait, wait until deciding to pay privately out of desperation.., 10, 000 pounds and got it done straight away, how many years paying tax and working for the NHS on poor pay..? Tell me why are our doctors surgeries becoming more like businesses than places of care..profit over patient care....
