Ep. 251: The Cornerstone Speech

Alexander H. Stephens’s “Cornerstone Speech” is perhaps the most infamous speech in the 19th century. It is cited by every SJW group as clear “evidence,” the “smoking gun” that it was slavery, slavery, and slavery that drove the Confederacy. Is this true? The speech offers a clear example of “contextualization,” but not in the way the SJWs like to promote the idea. I discuss the speech and the CSA Constitution in this episode of The Brion McClanahan Show.

The Following text:
1. The USA Constitution wants 75% of states and 67% majority vote in the Congress for any Amendment of the Constitution. In 1860 election time there were 33 states and 15 states were slavery states and 18 states were free states. You can count only 54.5% were instead of 75% free states and in the Congress the 67% for the 13th Amendment was just in very narrow majority in January of 1865. Any WHOLE COUNTRY ABOLUTION WAS IMPOSSIBLE in 1860! The Centre of the Republican party (as Lincoln) and the Conservative wing of the Republicans thought to ban the slavery in the Western territories (according to the Northwest Ordenance of the 1787 Congress) would bring a lot of free states in the future, as Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Colorado, New Mexico, Montana, Washington, Arizona, Washington, Utah, Nevada, Idaho later Alaska, Hawaii and some slavery system states would do STATS's Rights abolution as from Pennsíylvania 1780 to New Jersey 1804 the free states 75% would be for 1920 to an abolution Amendment of the Constitution for the whole country. LINCOLN was not dictator the Republican party was not dictatorship so he said the slavery is moral wrong but he did not do anything where is being living institute untill about 1920 in the XXth Century.
2. The 11 slaves states rebbeled against the whole USA so Lincoln could say about something in the not Federal occupied traitor territory to abolish the slavery AS MILITARY PROVISION! The EP was military provision! The USA senate (Sumner senator) said to West Virginia the West Virginia would be 35th States if Constitution of West Virginia (minimum) contained the Step by Step abolution (New York 1799 and New Jersey 1804!). Lincoln could not say anything about the slavery of Kentucky, Delaware, Missouri and Maryland, because they kept in the USA and before the 1864 Congress election 100% was not enough vote for a 13th Amendment of the Constitution for whole USA abolution!
3. Maryland and Missouri abolished the slavery system by STATES's RIGHTS total abolution, WEST VIRGINIA abolished the slavery system by Step by Step abolution for the USA senate's request. So Kentucky and Delaware were slavery system states alone in the USA!
4. Once more USA senate could say 11 states were in rebbelion so they lost their veto possibility in the senate. However before November of 1864 in spite of 21 total abolutionst and Step by Step (West Virginia, New York and New Jersey) abolution states were against 4 slavery system states the democrat party (which party opposed the whole country abolution!) had too many members of the Congress to prevent to reach the 67% majority for the 13th Amendment of the Constitution. After the November of the 1864 election not only Lincoln won the Republican party increased the members of the Congress, so they had to persuade a very few DEMOCRAT PARTY members of the Congress for the vote for the 13th Amendment of the Constitution in Janoary of 1865!
5. In my text I tried to explain Lincoln could not say anything for a whole country abolution in 1860, only according to Northwest Ordenance of the Congress 1787 to ban the slavery in the Western territory!
ONLY A DICTATOR COULD SAY AN WHOLE COUNTRY ABOLUTION IN .1860 and in After the extrem unwise Seccessionist politicians started the Seccession was possibility for a 2 steps abolution, first step was the EP the second was the 13th Amendment.
6. I think it was the HISTORY's GRIMACE that 11 slavery system's states Seccession made it possible to free the entire country's slaves by losing the veto power! The price was 750 000 dead civilians and soldiers.

Did you get hanged if you spoke about the equality of races and abolition of slavery in the north? What happened if you advocated such things in Dixie?
