I got the chance to listen to an extended version of by a few heard the studio chatter on the about Mac Rebenack (Dr. John) from Steve Cropper’s lips, at least it sounded like Cropper on the mic and then the count-in. There was a tiny bit of chatter on the end.

It was leaked by the engineer who was working from the original tapes for a possible reissue of the soundtrack with remastered sound. The project was canceled though, unfortunately.

Hopefully, they’ll revisit that idea someday soon.
