Ed Morse, global head of commodities research at Citigroup, says the the prospects of a global recession and lack of demand growth are behind his firm's bearish year-end call for crude oil. "Everyone talks about stagflation and a possible recession. So why are we at $120 for Brent?" Morse says on Bloomberg Television. "I'd say it's more in the $70 range than it is in the $120 range."

He's been saying 70$ is fair price for over a year, and oil prices keeps rising. If he keeps saying it, he'll be right sooner or later. Can i say he's clueless and incompetent?

I don’t think is an honest researcher, he is been saying $70 a barrel for over a year and despite the facts & the new facts he keeps saying it will be $70 an oil

There is a more likely chance we see $170 oil before we see $70. Would be willing to put every dime I have on that statement. Ed is clearly incompetent and should be fired immediately by Citi. That being said, I graduate in 3 months if they are looking for a better head of commodity research…
