Sumiko cartrigdes are simply stunning, in a class of her own, in every price class...even on a Technics turntable... ;-) By the way, the model EVO III is outstanding in his price/performance relation, just top class, especially in combination with the unmatched DNM preamps.

Just got the technics table, and after alot of work I came close to getting it all dialed in, can't wait to recieve my custom made MintTractor for this turntable...

I still hear abit of sibilance, though at this point I'm simply using the 52 mm overhang gauge provided by Technics, so I can't really complain 😅

I have obsessed with finding the perfect VTA for this cart, fiddling down in the 1/10th of a millimeter, I'm very impressed by the Blackbird, there is no end to it's potential, if you keep fiddling, it simply keeps on rewarding you!

Hi! As I type I am building the Discovery 861 level 1 option speaker system. Noted before yours was bought direct from Troels so would think it is the same level option. I gather you have played the 861's before you upgraded the caps to Mundorf, question has it made any improvements at all and if so what area? As this could be an option for me as the crossover boards have only just been assembled..thanks Alain

I can't imagine that the wooden floor and the TV screen between the speakers is doing the sound any favors.
