Here's beginners astrophotography tutorial on Polar alignment in NINA (or N.I.N.A) without Polaris for Astrophtography.

Polar alignment is hard but the new plugin in NINA (or N.I.N.A) makes it easy even without Polaris. This is the easiest method to polar align if you can't see Polaris!

This video is a life saver at under 2 minutes compared to these long winded instructional videos out there

While other videos out there are 5-20 mins long, yours is only 2 minutes and goes straight to the point. You got a new subscriber! Hope you will have more videos!

Thank you. Do you also have an instructional video for the manual mode and manuel mounts?

I'm starting to investigate on how to improve my polar align. I have an EQ3-2 with tracking motors but it is not Go To so it cannot be controlled by NINA right ? But is it possible to still do the plate solving with NINA and my setup ? By moving the axis manually maybe ?

Excellent tutorial. Do you know if this would work for mounts like the Star Adventurer in RA-only mode?

Thank you for this video! How much error is acceptable for the PA? I imagine it depends from the telescope that I am using… I have a Spacecat 250mm… greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭

Are electronic mounts better than manual? Seems once u are aligned, the mount is locked in place. Unless electronic ones make PA much easier, or help with a guiding scope?

I have a DSLR, tracker, and manual mount. Can I still use NINA? Can I choose manually where the 3 points are used?

You don't need something like Synscan? How do u star align once polar aligned?

Thought my mount was PA in NINA (< 1 degree fro both), but when I slew to coordinates, the camera is way off; I did get a warning it didn't slew far enough or something, to somehow change slew rate? but that warning went away when I next PA; what could be wrong? Used an L bracket for the camera, but that shouldn't be a problem

This Is No Where Near On A Beginner Level..I Can Polar Align..But This Was Confusing

This video is absolutely not true. The problem and time waste begins when its up to polar align practically on the mount knobs. Because the problem is you dont see in time the adjustment on screen but only after a new plate solve was done. That makes this kind of polaralignment so much longer then eg. with the iPolar. Thumb down for thie lie
