The fact that someone named Andy Wood did a cover of a Layne Era song is awesome in of itself. But the fact that Rooster (which features PEAK Layne Staley vocals) was on the same album as the song Would? ( Which was written for Layne's friend Andrew Wood) Is just awesome. As an AIC fan and a fan of musical history this is just purely amazing. RIP Layne Staley forever the legend. And RIP Mother Love Bones Andrew Wood (figured I'd better put the bands name with him)

I have done 72 orbits around the sun. I have been blessed to see and hear some of the greatest guitarists live. Beck, Blackmore, Gilmour Vai and Satriani. This cat speaks a totally different language musically. Simply stunning mastery of his craft. Wow

I just watched Tim Pierce talking about this song and here I am, a newb to the Andy Wood world and I'm blown away. Seriously blown away. There are a few times in my life that a song or artist left me stunned. Eruption in '79, watching SRV live at Aloha Stadium in '84, hearing Would by AIC while driving a pickup truck through Mulholland, Albert Lee Romany Rye, and now this. It's been a while. As many of the other comments have clearly stated, you forget you're listening to a guitar.... it's a freaking symphony. So many shredders out there, but so few with the understanding that it's not the speed, it's THIS; the music. Thank you Andy - not that you need it, but you have a new fan here. Blown away.

This is a very moving peace! I literally didn’t know who Andy Wood was until I saw him on Tim Pierce feed. Now I’m purchasing his music, listening, and watching, and wondering how I did not know of this phenomenal artist! The touch and feel, the musicality of the way. He blends each part of the song together. Absolutely beautiful. You have a new fan Andy. Please keep it going.

That dirty strat tone is one of the most perfect tones I have heard. I have followed Andy for a long time, so glad he is doing well.

Majestic! This isn't just virtuoso chops, it's beautiful, lyrical music. I love his taste for where to go next. Best guitar piece I've heard in a very long time.
