I love the NBA and I love every generation of athletes. But for some reason some of these guys think they’re immune to criticism. If you want to be the top dog you’re going to get roasted like one. Mike wasn’t always loved in his career by the media and the younger generations know just how much the media went after LeBron/Kobe. Why's it always SAS dealing with this foolishness? Everybody ripped on Simmons. Chuck never minces his words, Shannon gives no leeway to some players, etc. That's their job! That's part of the reason we care about sports, the discussions around them. But SAS is always the one getting accused of hating on black folks.

Speaking as a man with serious back issues…. The mental health goes hand in hand with it. Being young and broken makes you want to not exists. My issue is, if Ben is dealing with this, walk away and get better. Stay out of the limelight and work on getting better. If he can come back someday, fine. But don’t waste a roster spot when there’s hungry kids coming up that will be able to play.

The biggest issue I have with this whole situation is Ben Simmons is abusing the fact that Sports is the only profession where you can not work for an entire year and blame it on mental health issues. Lots of people have mental health issues, I have mental health issues but I still get up every morning and go to work and put out the best work I can manage it isn’t hard.
