I always find something unique in your picks. Putting "Spicy" on my list. Keep the reviews coming please. You helped get me through lock down.

“When player interaction was a feature and not a bug” - ah, the good ol’ days. Remember as well when you would ply video games with your friends and you were all in the same room? Looking at the same screen?

Always love your videos, Jon. You do a great job describing games (mechanics and production) and why you think they deserve attention. I need to check out four of these!

Loved that you brought up Dan again :D I hope he sees this and appreciates your appreciation for celebs who like tabletop games ;)

How did I forget about spicy! It's sooo good! Just a smidge more to it than skull but enough to make us play both as a closer.

This is a straight-up fantastic list. Iwari was a wonderful surprise for me, Watergate was my favorite 2 player game of 2020 (still unbeaten!) and I now have even more games to add to my to buy list, MircoMacro is going straight to the top!

Also, I can't agree more about wanting to experience stories set through a non-US/UK lens. Great work as always.

Micro Macro is an awesome game! When we finish it, It's going to be framed and go up on the wall for guest to enjoy. We just bought Watergate and hope to get it to the table soon. Great Picks Jon!

Hi John, interesting video, nice approach and I was impressed at the diverse games you mention here. All the games you mention rarely feature on an other top 10 or even top 20 games list from 2020. Food for thought, very refreshing and different outlook, so many other reviewers have said how good 2020 was!

Love when you drop a video! Excellent choices. :) knowing your style of games... my top of last year was dune imperium! It’s not too heavy - but a lot of depth! Great video

Firstly I admire your love of party games that braved London winter to play it 😂
And secondly thank you for making Daniel Radcliffe your example question 🙌🙌 😂

I'm waiting for Micromacro to release their next print this June, that one looks like a really fun as a couples date night game! I'd never heard of Master word, but that's a really cool twist on an old game. I'm looking forward to trying that one too :)

Great writing, explanations and reviews! I said I was going to buy Spicy in your earlier review, but as we are getting close to being able to see each other again, I used the affiliate links to buy both Spicy and Master Word. MicroMacro: Crime City isn't available (in the states) at the moment. Bummer as it would have been a good one to play with my wife, but hopefully I can find it somewhere soon.

Normally when I watch top ten lists I want a couple of the games that get mentioned. Or if a lot of the games are intriguing I'm like "Oh I'd love to play a lot of these" but I wanna BUY every game on this list!

Thanks for a great new video Jon! Definitely interested in Watergate since it's two player. Spicy looks like fun, but I'm not sure what makes it need a special deck of cards. The cards do look nice, but couldn't it be just as easily played with a standard deck?

So Master Word is classic Mastermind with words.. sounds great!

Did you know that Spicy is a re-released version of a popular Hungarian board game called Svindli?
Nothing new under the sun.
