that happens to me times they go down when i press the button for longer than it needs...but when they dont whant to go down i just let them like that...its not a problem

I can't find the emails where I ordered the top from. It looks just like the OEM. From the time I ordered the top, it was delivered in a week or less. I don't think the top's window has anything to do with the window regulator. I did go to my dealership last Friday and raised cane about the unreliable regulator. He told me to bring it by this week and he would see what they could do. I'll post the results of that visit.

I have a 2005 NBC with a separated rear window and have seen the online tops as well.
Does the regulator problem have anything to do with the top replacement?
Like to know details on the top. Who from? How long ago? How's the quality compared to OEM? Thanks!

I have a 2003 VW Beetle convertible. Question: How to you repair the rear window? The adhesive that holds the glass in place has dried and separated from the canvas.I have noticed that other similar Beetles have this issue. Help please!

@1991armi I had the same problem, after a year of research, I finally gave in and had it replace. I had estimates from 2, 000 to 2, 900. I finally went on line and found a new top for about $600. Then I found a small upholstery shop to install it for $250 or $300. Now the window regulator has failed for the second time. What a piece of crap this car is. always something wrong. :-(
