It’s an interesting contrast, on one hand I usually see hololive fans throw hundreds and thousands in super chats, which add up fast. But vshojo, I see bits here and there but often they just get a sudden huge donation such as Mel getting 10k and I believe mousey got 5k in a double 2, 500 donation by the same guy.

You can't blame her for being at a loss for how to respond. It's got to be a mix of disbelief and then just not knowing what to say to some anonymous person dropping $10K with nothing more than a "Happy Birthday" message. I'm sure the initial feeling is wanting to provide some additional interaction beyond what she gives with normal donations, but being so gobsmacked in the moment she can't think straight.

For experienced streamers this kind of thing happens, but often gets taken back. Mel saying "you think on that" was an incredibly kind and patient gesture. It really puts you on the spot, being so thankful for something they can and usually do take back. On the other hand you don't want to underreact to someone who showed so much kindness.
