Agreed, Amazon, Walmart and Target on-line sales have displaced many physical stores, consumers are lazy and on-line stores do not have to pay retail store rents, just warehouse rents that are less. The shopping mall concepts are failing, malls are not popular anymore, rents are too high. It's time to say goodbye to those chain stores.

My online purchasing over all has been a freaking disaster of wasted money, and I simply will never again buy anything online unless I know the quality in advance. I will by some things from Amazon because if you get garbage it is easier to return to them, but the rest of the online shopping can go to hell. MOST of the time when I need something I need it today not days or weeks from now. Then get it only to find it is shoddy or the wrong item, and if you get something under $50 that is not what you wanted or is no good just put it in the garbage and kiss the money goodbye, because by the time you are done trying to return it you will say never again. But now that the mall in our county has closed and 80 or 90% of the stuff for sale there is no longer available in this county except online, and for the remaining retailers selling a fraction of what used to be available at the mall, all those Main Street local Mom and Pop stores everyone likes to wring their hands over? Yeah there are a few and they charge twice as much, it is cheaper to get in the car and drive forty miles down the road than shop locally. There is no place in this county to get a pair of sunglasses. Walmart? Not a chance I would buy those $5 hillbilly sunglasses. Buying $100 RayBans online? Well yeah but they are now $249, and you know what you will get in advance, but I used to buy at the mall and they would adjust them to fit perfectly as part of the purchase, you can't do that at home. So I have not had sunglasses these last 3 years. It is now over 100 miles round trip to the nearest mall. And no matter anyway because all this 8% inflation last year is actually about 20% and left me nothing to spend anyway, and THAT is why stores are closing.
