In October 2017, CIVIC along with other immigrants rights organizations hosted a concert in Southern California to call for an end to immigrant prisons. Grammy-award winning singer Miguel, actress and comedian Cristela Alonzo, Orange is the New Black actress Diane Guerrero joined in solidarity with people like Gretta Soto Moreno and Carlos Hidalgo, who've been directly impacted by this inhumane system and who bravely shared their stories.
