So let's say that you're interested in getting a new high-end smartphone, and having a huge display is one of your top priorities. Well, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is among the handsets matching that description -- it is fast, loaded to the brim with neat features, and equipped with a gorgeous 5.7-inch touchscreen. However, as in most cases, there's a number of alternatives to consider. One of them is the LG G2, packing a 5.2-inch display and the hardware muscle needed to give Samsung's phablet some heated competition...

I got the note 3 the day it came out I still watch these videos to see what others think about the phone compared to other phones that came out this year. This is a great phone even if your hands are small.

I have the Note 3 and its a beast. Anything you want in a phone and tablet is found in the Note 3. Nothing is touching this phone.

**Correction** The Note 3 video player can allow for increasing brightness and sound at both ends and zoom in. These features have been available since the Galaxy S3.

I have Note 3 and a spare battery and charger. While I am using one battery, the other battery is charging. If I go away for the weekend, I make sure both batteries are fully charged. The removable battery gives the Note 3 the win over the G2.

On the features and stuff, Note 3 wins.
On the price, G2 smashes it.

This video makes me disappointed in Phone Arena. You mentioned that the G2 was easier to use with one hand and then didn't mention the one handed mode that is usable with a simple swipe on the Note.

Secondly, I see from the comments that you didn't mention the split screen on the Note 3.

I was going to send this to a friend for a fair and balanced review but obviously, I need to find a different video.

The video features of the G2 debuted on the galaxy s3 last year and on all the flagship devices thereafter ie(Note 2, S4 and Note 3)

Its pretty annoying when people say that 5.7" screen is too big, it's renowned for its big screen and is almost it's ups. I love the note range from Samsung but just don't know if I can do the whole Android thing for another 2 years

LG G2 has a 5.2 display. Please learn the specs of the phones you compare.

The Notes strength is the S pen for me, once utilized to it's full it's hard to go back to a standard paw phone - also the scream is amazingly bright, eliminating the outdoor problem many similar scream types have.

Idk why people say the note 3 is too big. The 5.7 inch screen is perfect to hold. The 6.5 inch xperia z ultra might be too big. Galaxy note 3 is perfect in size specs and performance as well as comfort

Also the Amoled Screen on the Note 3 WILL get burn-in after about 6 months. I've come from a long line of AMOLED phones, which have great color and dark blacks, but I really hate being able to see my keyboard and status bar icons when viewing anything with a light gray/white background.

The Verizon G2 also comes with unlocked GSM so it is a world phone out of the box. It also has built in Qi Charging, which the Note 3 does not. Adding the separate Qi Wireless charging backplate makes it thicker and then not compatible with Feather/Thin cases.

The Note 3 also is locked down tight like the Galaxy S4's, which means there are absolutely no custom roms or kernels available.

This ultimately made my decision. No Qi built in. Screen Burn-In. No thin case with Qi. No Unlocked GSM (I travel nationally for my work). No development. No buy. Plus it was too big to use one handed comfortably.

LG G2 also is offered a 50gb Dropbox account.

Lg G2. Note it good but TW still is too power hungry

You spend too long talking about preloaded apps that you can get from the app store on either device. The included translator apps on each phone shouldn't be taken into consideration when deciding between them.

I have the LG G2 and it is a great phone but I wouldn't compare it to the NOTE 3 it is better served compared to the S4 & HTC one. If anything it is the phone that bridges the gap from the S4 to the NOTE 3, BUT with better specs then the S4/HTC one

Both are great phones but I like the sense 5 interface on the htc one phone better. The g2 seems a bit too cartoony and the note 3 is too huge for me. The htc one 4.7 inch screen is just right for me :)
