This is one of those films with scenes you never get tired of watching no matter how many times you watch it

Say what you will about this movie, NONE of you can deny though that this is the part of the movie that pretty much underlines that everybody is just having a grand old time in this movie. Like this FEELS like a genuine party. XD

S/o to the costumes in this movie, especially the can-can girls and how each of them has a different theme
Like the insane amount of work that went into each of their dresses only to show up for like a minute total is insane

Schaffrillas was spot-on: this was edited like a YTP. Which makes sense, because the Moulin Rouge is all about hedonistic artificiality. Then, in the scenes between Christian and Satine, all the fast-paced editing disappears, because their relationship is real.

Jim Broadbent should've gotten more recognition for this role. He killed it!

This may just be the most beautifully shot movie I've ever seen and this movie had the longest production time of any movie ever, considering the director started making some of the script from when he was a small child. Not into most musicals but this movie was perfection. Each shot done perfectly. Then the ending made me cry my eyes out. Ewan and Nicole are both just amazing and the vocals are all theirs. Both should have gotten best male and female lead. It's so exhausting just to watch how much they put into the whole thing. I've probably owed like 5+ copies of this movie on different formats. I remember seeing in on Blu Ray for the first time and was able to notice even more amazing small, details. I would love to see this in 4 - 8 K. Must look incredible.

I recognized the actor Jim Broadbent almost immediately, who is playing Harold Zidler. He plays Horace Slughorn in the Harry Potter movies.

I know it’s very small scene but I love the Queer representation in this scene

My favorite part of the movie is the Nirvana drumbeat as the gentlemen arrive.

From Harold Zidler to Harold Fry, Jim is an amazing actor!!!

Used to criticize editing of Jill Bilcock and now i like to apologise as this editing is one piece in the history of cinema and suitable for moulin rouge only.

Also, it must take months to edit this single piece.

There should be an Animash or PMV for this song.

И не нужна всякая марвеловская графика и зеленый фон. Достаточно колоритных актеров, креативной постановки и классного монтажа

And why they never made a Moulin Rouge burlesque show in Vegas in Paris is so disappointing
