In this video I shared a tour of the Pog Lake Campground at Algonquin Provincial Park. This was a lovely campground with electric and non-electric sites and it was located fairly centrally on the Highway 60 corridor.

And I have to say, Algonquin Provincial Park is definitely my favourite park to date!

What You'll Like:
The essence of Algonquin is in its vast interior of maple hills, rocky ridges, and thousands of lakes – 7,635 square kilometres of forests, bogs, lakes and rivers. The only way to explore the interior of this park is by paddle or on foot. There is also a second Algonquin - along the 56 kilometre stretch of Highway 60. Here you can enjoy camping at one of eight campgrounds, hike one of 14 interpretive trails, take part in the extensive educational Discovery Program, and visit Algonquin’s exceptional Visitor Centre, Logging Museum and Art Centre.
Pog Lake Campground is located at km 36.9 on Highway 60, in a predominantly Pine forest. The campground is divided into three sections, A, B, and C, with a mix of electrical and non-electrical sites. Pets are not permitted in the eastern most loop of the Pog Lake Campground Section A (sites 201-232). Audio devices are not permitted in the eastern most loop of the Pog Lake Campground Section A (sites 201-232).

I remember camping here as kid, when we got there; there was chipmunks that were so friendly they would take nuts from your hand. I also remember going fishing and there was a moose in the water grazing.

I guess the summer is a better time for the beach! Also kayaking or canoeing I prefer when it's warm!
Great campground, thanks for taking us there!

The park looked so pretty. I really enjoyed the views of the forest, and water front campsites are always a plus. I would definitely want to paddle on the lake (when it is warmer).

Yes I’m so happy you liked it :D, Algonquin is massive! That sunset was so nice.

If you ever make it to the east side of highway 60 there is a logging museum trail that I think you would like. It shows you what they used and how they lived way back when the first settlers came to Algonquin.

What a beautiful campground! It's nice to have riverside access at some parts, there is so much to do outdoors! It would be cool to do a kayak tour. Having a laundry facility is a huge plus!

This is a great review of the park, we usually try to get to a car campground at least once a year, but we have yet to visit Pog Lake campground. Thanks
