By rule if two opposing players come down simultaneously with possession then it goes as catch to the team that had possession from the start of the play.

For the first play, I'll use NFL rules because I don't know much about High School Football. In the NFL, if both a receiver and a defender come down with the ball, the tie will go to the offensive player unless the defender got his feet down first. It looked like it was a tie, but brown got his feet down first, so it looked like a reception.

Personally, I think that it was an easy call for the first play, white caught it, bright as day. But the second play was an honest mistake. #2 had his left and right feet on the ground inbounds for a split millisecond. Even I thought it wasn’t a catch at first. But the coach really should have challenged the plays.

White gets the int, he came down with it and White was not out of bounds.

Unfortunately rule says it goes to offense but tbh white had possession the whole time holding it into his body, the brown jersey had two hands on it but held it while the other guy seemed to have more possession and control over it.

The first one was a catch for the offense because if they both have possession it is a offense when the tie breaker

The rule is tie catch goes to the offense, no matter who catches it more. The second pass was absolutely an interception.

Rule for the simultaneous catch is first player to be downed would have possession. It's a pick. White's ball.

By NFHS rules, in the event of a tie up, where both players catch the ball, it is rewarded to the offensive player.

Opposition always goes to the offense unless there is concrete evidence that one of the players did not catch the ball.

If it’s 50/50 ball when both players hit the ground the rep goes to the receiver. That’s a rule. White in slow motion may clearly have possession but at fast pace they both looked like they had possession when they were down. So I don’t blame ref for this one
