Star Trek - Enterprise-B warp speed!

Had to make a video of my Enterprise-B model going to warp! Took a little artistic liberty since I don't think the nacelles light up for warp in the movies, but in DS9 they are lit all the time, so I imagined they lit up to go to warp, like the Enterprise does in the movies.

I like that the impulse drives turn off right before she jumps, because they're not needed while at warp. Nice touch.

Man, I have seen a lot of CGI works regarding Star Trek and while a lot of it looks good there always seems to be at least one thing missing in the other animations. This right here…THIS captures everything! Textures, lighting, everything is spot on! I could see this in a feature film or tv episode at the very least! Mad respect for your talent and bravo to your excellent work!

Everything in this is perfect! The rendering, lights, lighting of the ship, the elastic band and the impulse engines going out before warp, genuinely beautiful. I could watch this clip all day. Very lovely job.

Now THATs a starship! It’s my favourite class. At the height of Starfleet design I would say. Huge but sleek.

The one thing I dislike about Nu Trek is that *boom* warp effect like a shot gun in and out of warp.

It’s supposed to be like this, elegant.

Honestly, I’d love to see a series of the Enterprise B and/or C. I feel like it could be a good place to introduce new stories and transitions from the TOS technology to the TNG era.
